THE DISTANCE

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois' "Les Fleurs" series, the artist Cornelia Parker and Sofia Coppola's film "The Virgin Suicides". The conversation between the three artists results in naive silhouettes, prints and delicate embroideries. The mix of materials leads us to explore the contrast between the beautiful and the simple. Cotton poplin is embroidered with crystals. The opulence of velvet meets the simplicity of wool. Recycled plastic bottles are transformed into one of the lightest and most refined crêpe de Chine.
